Hi everyone
Ive just had the bike m.o.td all went well....although the tester mentioned that the spring clip on the drive chain split link was "stretched" and advised that it was changed,does anybody know where i can get a new split link from,ive looked through the haynes manual and cant find much info on the chain fitted to the bike,any help much appreciated....cheers steve.

Originally they had an endless chain.

A trip to a decent bike shop and they should be able to source you a new one off the shelf.

don't use a new splitlink with an older chain it will develop a tight spot, just use the spring. I used to lockwire my spring on (one loop round the middle of the link and twisted over the spring on the outside) as they always used to fly off when running a 630.

Hi Rich thanks for the reply....do you know what size chain was originally fitted to this bike,i think i will look for a new chain at stafford this w/end.cheers steve.
