Jeez Kev you've been busy with the old box browny mate
Thanks a million, just what I'm looking for, obviously a bit slap dash @ Hamamatsu when they built em cos the stripes are different at back end on each side, I reckon there should be a gap but old Takazumi got carried away on the left side and ran the white tape too far!
Looks like your tank has had a repair/s cos the paint around the stripes looks a little built up and white stripe on rt hand side above gold looks a little yellow compared to top white stripes? What do you think?

Kev, Any chance you could measure up the gold band for me, width at front and back of tank + distance from bottom of tank front and back (I know it should be higher at front but not sure how much)- cheers bud.

Point taken Jimmock, I just want an original to use as a basis, yer know what it's like, some jobs you see just aint right and yer can't always put yer finger on exactly what it is, 1mm to wide pin stripe, wrong arch on top stripes etc.

Agree with Jimmock to a point. I must admit the colour blue in the Z1B is the most difficult to find a good sample. The colours were various shades from a bright royal blue to a milky blue to a greenish blue, with the amount of green also varied.
I have recently purchased a Dorome Z1B "Timora" blue (or some such name) tank set from PMC, it was expensive, however the colour is correct and the stripes positioning is correct.

Those white stripes are always a point of conjecture, particulaly, the ones highlighted by UK Kevs pictures. As Roscoe mentions the wrong arch above the Kawasaki Badge is very critical and obvious. I have always noticed those white stripes at the rear of the tank are always a problem.. At least the seat covers them.

The Z1B in blue is gorgeous.

I saw an original a few years back in the blue. It was really faded but still looked good.

I saw Stevie900's new jaffa paint set from Z Power a few months ago.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FECKIN' GORGEOUS. ( Yes it did give me an 'ardon!!).

Got my A4 done in red Z1B livery using a mag as a guide. It is totally shite and has pissed me off for 15 years now!!
