WIRING HELP NEEDED CLUTCH CUT OUT SWITCH FOR STARTING

#1 PostAuthor: Padders » Fri Sep 09, 2011 6:51 am

Hi I have fitted a differant clutch lever housing on my GPZ1100B1 that does not have a connection for the clutch/starter wiring, the small switch that is depressed when you pull the clutch lever in when started the bike. Can this be bypassed / wired to be on etc. Any advice greatfully recieved.

Cheers

If its wired the same as the H then follow the wires from the switch back to where it joins the loom under the tank and pull those two wires out. Join across and the switch is now out of circuit.

Padders,

if it is the same arrangement as a Z1-R then the switch MAKES the Starter Circuit when the leaver is pulled in, the other component is the Starter button.

In than case the two wires that the switch would have connected too can be connected together and the Starter button only will make the curcuit.
