Stainless spokes

do any of you know who does stainless spokes for the Z range, as I need to get my rear wheel re-spoked on the Z1b....

i had some z1 spokes from central wheel you will need to send them samples they do three different styles in stainless steel. i think i paid £120 for front + rear spokes + nipples including postage could not find anyone cheaper at the time

You can strip the spokes from both wheels in an hour yourself,then get them re-zinced for a few quid :D

I was thinking of doing that but I was told never to do it because it makes them brittle , any truth in it ?

I heard that rumour and i have never had any problems, nor has anybody else that i know that has rezinced spokes.If anything, stainless would have a question mark over it as a material for spokes.

A chap called George Spence from Cupar in Fife, has done 2 sets for me.

Quality job and WELL priced.

Done a pair for my 900A4 15 years ago.....£80.
Done a set for my XS 650 18 months ago....£130.

Both done with stainless spokes and nickel nipples. (I love that word "nipples"!!).

I can pass on tel numbers etc if needed.
