Coil 1&4 Ohms 3.5 ohm's cold 3.6 ohm's hot
secondary test 14.7 cold when heated 15.6
Coils 3&2 3.5 ohm's cold 3.7 ohm's hot
Secondary test 14.6 cold when hot 15.7
I know her blow drier don't get that hot so i am thinking this coils are bad

The coil was obvious but the telling thing with the pickup was white goo pouring out the back.
I put a borrowed Dyna plate and pickups on it and it instantly cured it.
1980 is very old for those coils!!
If you want to listen to it 'running out of sparks' tune the radio in and move the ariel close to the bike.
Cant remember the frequency but from memory about 95 or so on FM i think.
Very telling.

I did find my stock coils in a box and the old point's set up in the basement
the end caps are missing i did find two of them
