Tell me if I'm wrong...... If it is Mikuni and has a single bowl plug approx 17 mm and it isn't an early Z1 carb set... It's a set of Smoothbores?

Generally speaking - Yes (If they ain't been mucked about with).

BUT! Some smoothbores come without the main jet access.
The suzuki Katana 1000 came with either 32mm or 34mm mikuni smoothbores and had plain floatbowls fitted.

Very early VM29s came with a small drain screw.

They look to be VM29s.

A few other bits to look for:
take the airscrew out and it should have a big through hole and a tiny bleed hole in the end,
most floats will be brass, but I also have a set with plastic floats, the fuel valve in each carb will have a small filter over it as well. if you can't get the inlet rubber off to have a look.

Early 28mm Carbs have 2 screws holding top on.May have 17mm floatbowl nut/might not.
26mm/28mm,[ A4-z1000 ]carbs have 3 screws holding top on.
29mm Smoothbores look like A4/z1000 carbs,[ 3 screws on top ]but have
the 17mm floatbowl nut...as pictures above. Simple? :wacko
