Z1100R 1984 BORE SIZE

Can anyone tell me what the largest bore size is that i could go to without resleeving

The standard 1089cc block (72.5mm bore) can be taken out to 1170cc (75mm bore) and doesn't require the crankcases to be opened out.

Wiseco only list a max capacity of 1105 though for that motor (73mm bore) :roll:

My 84 1100r has been bored to 1170 with 9.5:1 wiseco pistons.
Though despite the head also being flowed it produces no more power than when it was stock (measured on the same dyno).
So if you're looking for more power I guess you need to use the 10.5 pistons and change the cams and carbs
Guess I'll have to go for a 1325/1428 big block next :lol:

For the 1089 - 1170 is safest max :wink:
