Combined Regulator & Rectifier for Z1000-A1

#1 PostAuthor: DogsbolloxofZ1B » Sun Jul 17, 2011 4:58 pm

I'm restoring a Z1000-A1, almost done, and was wondering wether to fit a new combined Reg/rect unit. Does the type Zed_Power sell plug into the usual socket or have I got to modify my nice new wiring loom:?:
Anyone got any pics of their installation :?:

Cheers, Mike

Mike
The unit I purchased from Z-power and fitted to my Z1B was a straight plug in job into the vacant green socket and leaving the white socket that took the rectifier plug redundant. There is just the separate earth wire that comes complete with the unit to tie down to the engine earth bolt.
Probably worth a quick call as they do tend to change items every now and again.Z1 Enterprises do a straight plug-in item too.
Regards
Steve

Electrex do a replacement unit, which is a combined regulator and rectifier.

You can combine it easily into the existing harness with a bit of thought and a soldering Iron keeping the original multi-plugs
