Really appreciate the help and lots to go on.
Any ideas where I can get a copy of the injection manual? I've always worked with a Haynes manual that covers a number of different models which has been fine prior to this fault.
Any idea how many H's are out there? I thought I was the only owner!!!! Only ever seen one other on the road since the late 80's!!! I think Kawasaki only imported 250 into the UK????

Jonno you might have been better to have put 'H' in the thread title, i can think of about ten owners on here and Paul Doran has the other 240 remaining :D

This looks to be the right one if you want an original.

The later version (print) of the J manual carries the fuel injection supplement for the DFI which is very similar in some details.

I dont know if you get the troubleshooting details with a new Dyna but heres a copy from the Dyna site in the US.
Can be very useful!

I think we're there, cheers for that, I'll be making a purchase. It's good to see there are so many people out there with a love for Z1000's (guess this would be the place to find em!)
Scott was really helpful when I was waiting to get onto the site (cheers once again Scott) but there didn't seem to be a lot of comment when the H1 bit was mentioned. Depends whose on I guess.
When I get the bike running again........do you have club meets etc in the North Hampshire / Oxon areas????

Mine will be there one day......but to say I'm in the 'race' is stretching it a little bit.

Just had a look at the H restoration link Zorded posted. Really nice job. Mine is looking pretty tired now. I did completely strip it down to the frame and got that powder coated about 18 yrs ago but nothing like the standard of that. Several winters have taken their toll so if I ever get it going and get to a meet don't expect a tidy example.
