As before, £10 entry gets you access to Chinnor Bike Dayz for the entire weekend. See http://www.wycombemag.co.uk/new.index.htm for map, what’s happening, bands etc. Note that there is a strict 500 attendance to this rally, so if it’s sunny they may get to full capacity – so if you leave it late you may not get in.
As before, I’ll be there on Friday setting up our little area at the end of the field, ready to get the Barbie fired up and with a few (hopefully cold) beers. As before, I’ll keep a tally of what’s been consumed from the barbie and beer as this is passed on to you at cost. Please settle up before you finally leave the event. PLEASE let me know if you are coming and wish to have some food and beer as I have to get the necessary provisions in.
Having set up camp, you can just chill out or go down to the stage area and have a beer while listening to the bands.
Saturday morning will see us blessed with glorious sunshine and I’ll make those present a bacon or sausage roll for breakfast to combat the hangover. Rally arrivals start to turn up in the morning and about midday, we’ll take the bikes down to be the main attraction at the Show. This is an ideal time to talk bikes with all manner of people, or maybe top up alcohol levels at the beer tent. Bands start playing at 1pm. I’ll pass out judging sheets for all members to judge for the Rally awards, and I expect awards will be presented around 2pm.
After this, we’ll retire back to our own encampment to hold the raffle. No Red Arrows flypast this year, I’m afraid. Some of you may want to go out for a ride, so I’ll provide a map of a couple of places to go (Club policy is to not have an organised ride-out as such). I will probably stay behind and sort out the barbeque and provisions for later on in the day.
Once everyone’s back, we’ll have a barbeque and beer and later on watch the bands until early morning.
Sunday morning sees the entire rally packing up first thing, so we’ll tend to pack up straight away and head home.
As said above, your £10 gets you access to all facilities for the entire weekend, so I’ll be, er, reminding you that you need to buy a raffle ticket or two to help cover costs and maybe add a bit to Club funds. You’ll see below a list of prizes, but you will also be able to buy, at this event only, the Z1OC organiser/poster that Gary and I have made. It will not be available again at this price, if at all. I’ll confirm a price once I have sorted out post and packing, but it will probably be £7-10 posted.
OK, raffle prizes.
We have a nice selection of regalia donated by the Club again this year, to include hoodie, beanie hat, t-shirts

Gary has very kindly offered to do a poster – sized reproduction of your bike again this year. He’ll take the picture at the rally, or you can provide him with your favourite high-resolution image.

I’ve also got a copy of Tony Sculpher’s lovely book on the Z1R. Excellent reading even if you don’t have a Z1R.

We have a Stone DVD.

We have a very limited edition set of racing prints from Kawasaki, which would look very nice framed as a set or individually.

There’s a CD of hundreds of pages of Z1- related items such as sales brochures, road tests and other items of interest (as sold on ebay from USA).

And there’s a couple of the A1-size Z1OC organiser/posters up for grabs (these will be posted on). This poster has been approved by the Club and utilises some of the pictures sent in for the photo competition that we ran in 2009. As said above, these are also available for sale at the rally and are only available in very limited numbers as Gary can only print a limited number off. Rallygoers will get first dibs on these, and they may not be available after the event.

There you go. Should be a good couple of days. Let me know if you intend to come and I hope to see you there.
