Valve Clearances

#1 PostAuthor: Kev1R » Thu Mar 18, 2010 8:58 pm

2 Questions
Assume bog standard (z1000) engine:

Over a period of time, speaking generally - Do valve clearances get bigger or smaller?

Do you get better results with valve clearances on the tight side or on the generous side?

Thanks for any thoughts on this

Clearances should get tighter as the seat/valve face wears.

Aim slightly on the loose side.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
