Z1R Battery case brackets wanted.

#1 PostAuthor: ruffle » Sat Feb 13, 2010 12:05 pm

I'm after a couple of brackets that attach to the battery case for my Z1R.

The first one seems quite common to a number of 'thous' and it's the one that sits on top of the battery to hold it down:

No 14 on the parts diagram, Kawasaki Part No 32100-100 "BAND,BATTERY"

The second seems unique to the Z1R (why such variation on the battery case between models?) and it's a plate that bolts to the right hand side of the battery case and provides a mount for the regulator.

No 16 on the parts diagram. Kawasaki Part No 11034-1732 "BRACKET,BASE,R.H"

although the Kawasaki US site says it was superceeded by 11034-1056 "BRACKETBATTERY CASE"

Anyone got either of them kicking around?

TIA

No 16 is not for the z1R D1
Only the 1980 D3 has this plate. There is a black box on it: Part No 27010-1007 SWITCH,RESERVE LAMP and the IC igniter.
Here is a pic of my D3 that is still waiting for warm weather.

Ummm.... the parts diagram I included is for the '78 and shows the bracket.

As it came (without said bracket) here's what the right hand side looked like. The regulator doesn't seem to sit 'right' but perhaps it's the wrong reg?

Anyone got a picture of the RHS from a '78?

Hey Compo, only trying to help here, not be a smart ar*e...... in the last picture showing ( I assume ) your bike, it looks like the rear brake hose has been connected the wrong way around at the master cylinder. Shouldn't the banjo curve backwards ...the way it is, looks like its putting strain on the crimped hose joint, which will be aggrevated when the suspension travels up.

Just been out to the garage and checked which way mine turns.... its back towards the caliper.

Rats. Looks like I've the wrong regulator (or someone's cut the mounting tab off one side; I've not looked that closely).

Looks like I'll have to cancel my standing EBay search for the bracket and put one in for the reg :(

I thought your garage would be creaking under the weight of stashed #4's by now :)

But if you need them then yes you can have them.
