Dyna s questions

Just about ready to wire in my Dyna s though i have searched the forum and looked at the wiring diagrams i am still unsure on a couple of points.the dual red wire that feed the dyna triggers should be connected to the yellow and red wire that feeds one side of the coils primary? this wire is positive should there be a fuse in series with the reds?as my Dyna is second hand i think the one part of the fuse holder may be missing,in the instructions is the switched positive they refer to the yellow and red? do the wires that run back to the dyna s triggers still in effect switch to earth and open to fire the coils the same as the old points opening to discharge coils? would be intersted to know,

When I installed mine a few years ago I do not recall a fuse. There was splice clip.Also if you are using the dyna coils be sure to silicone around the mounting hardware as they will arc to the frame.

No need for a fuse. So easy to wire in. one wire to coil 1/4 one wire to coil 2/3 and the main feed wire spliced into the ignition. Just don't use the nasty connector that they supply, do a proper job. The supply to the ign system is then run from the main ignition fuse. couldn't be easier.

The system works on magnetic induction principle to trigger the coils. A small magnet on the rotor passes through fields created by the pickups, forcing them to collapse and presto this triggers sparks from the coil.
