Just got back having had a super day despite there not being all that much on show.
For me it was about meeting up with fellow zedders and our impromptu gathering headed by El Presidente was a large one indeed.
Met RB at last and saw Chris Rivett.
Hurry up Harry with the photos ! Oh, that reminds me of something.............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2xdCvhvyqY

Good to have a chat with a few members and big thanks to GB for taking some parts over to Mikey for rechrome.
Had a chat with Rick Brett and picked up a few odds and ends. I expected there to be a few more bikes on show but still a decent day out . Next year they will hopefully turn on the heating in the second hall as well as the first one.

Went down today and met up with PD and another Paul from the club.
It has the potential to be a good show...... but typically (in my eyes) Andrew Greenwood doesn't push the event enough.
The main hall was maybe only 50% full, but nicely heated and well laid out.
The second hall stank of shit but was cold & drafty
The restaurant was very good though and reasonably priced, though I was too tight and took me own egg sandwiches
Most of the bikes on show were familiar sights, having seen them at most other shows over the last 2 years or so.
Still, I enjoyed the day out, doing what I enjoy, and met up with club members too so it was better than sitting at home juggling me balls

Had an enjoyable day there on Saturday, got there just as it opened at 10am, left at closing, just after 4pm. It's always good to meet up with others from the club, especially those that travelled a long distance, as for me, Stoneleigh is only just under an hour away. Took a few bits for people to pick up too.
Nice to catch up with Rick Brett, who i haven't seen for a while, likewise Chris Rivett.
The main hall was well lit and heated, but, [as others have said], Hall 2, [which is actually a cow-shed], also has an authentic smell
. No doubt the traders/autojumblers that were in there are now suffering from hypo-thermia.
I am sure that many stayed away after the cancellation of the Donington show, but hopefully this will continue and grow as an annual event.

I agree with the sentiments so far, yes, it was a bit sparse, but as a club we can't complain, as we were one of the group that said we'd see what it was like this year, with a view to showing next year. My view is we'll definately be there next yeat - the only downside were the death burgers served outside - as Ade has posted, spend an extra two quid and have a lovely meal in the restaurant.
I got back to the U.K. some 24 hours before loading up to head to Stoneleigh and to be honest I was half cut and jet lagged when I kept seeing Z1 O.C. members that I recognised - GREAT to see Phil C, Steve T, That irish bloke, Jerry, Mr Rivett all the others who I ignored . . Oh, and finally to meet Tailiftchris - I REALLY enjoyed the weekend - - but maybe that was because we shut the bar at 5am both days and didn't actually turn up at our stand (private stand not the Triples Club One) until 11am (to a round of appluase) - we'll be there next year!
Lifes too short . . .
