Is your existing single caliper behind or in front of fork leg? These are a pair on ebay of a z650 which i think are the same , but they are designed to fit rear of fork. You can fit in front but require the bleed nipple to be at top for bleeding, which means repositioning caliper during bleeding.

Are you wanting to stay kawasaki or considering lockheed, brembo etc?

If you go for the caliper at rear of fork leg set-up, then you will also need a z1000 A2 speedo cable.
I've collected all the bits to do my z900 (one day soon hopefully) with calipers at the rear. Also, dont forget the brackets fir the speedo cable and brake hoses are different and hard to find.
There is a twin brake splitter and brackets (front mounted calipers) listed on ebay at the mo.
I've got a spare set of disc bolts (4) somewhere if you get stuck for these.
