well the bottom end doesn't look too bad. Time to get the measuring sticks out to confirm.

famous last words.

The ground up cam chain guide has done a bit of damage.

mains bearings between 2 & 3 shot
clutch bearing shot
all cam chain gears, idlers etc shot

so - replacement crank - Check
New bearings and seals from z power - Check
New camchain bits from Z 1 Enterprises - Check.

Cases painted black (Z1 style) and bottom end back together.

All engine bolts being replated and will then assemble.

Need to get the rebore done and replacement pistons/rings.

a replacement engine would have been cheaper but it will all be done right.

oh well................

i know its been a while but BunnyZ came round today and we put the rebuilt and repainted bottom end in the frame - (with all new bearings, crank etc).

Will do some more assembly (with photos) tomorrow.

Should get it to a rolling chassis next week.

Need to get barrels/head back from RD Cox.

I might have stolen the Z1 paintset for the '73 Z1 I got recently so any nice Z1, Z1A paintsets welcome.

NEED A Z900 WIRING LOOM !!

Sorry Chris my mistake it was a Z1 loom. I thought that was the one you were looking, for I have a second hand decent Z900 loom if you want it mate.

Cheers padders
