Tool Kit Bit

#1 PostAuthor: Kev1R » Fri Nov 20, 2009 1:53 pm

I had cause to go into my tool kit this year for the first time for years, and found that the nut & bolt, which holds the pliers together had disappeared. I have tried afew odd nuts/bolts combinations but obviously not the right size as I can’t get them to work properly. I suspect the bolt shaft is different diameter (and not threaded),to bit the nut screws on to.
Can anyone confirm this, or post a pic, or better still,- has anyone got this item spare, that they would be happy to part with in exchange for dosh.
Cheers
Kevin

if you are not bothered about originalily, can you not drill out the hole in the pliers?

and you have tried metric and imperial bolts?

or you could use a bolt and a sleeve so it is a snug fit.

OOh you devil, TLC will be along soon to sort you out! :D He'll be able to confirm whether you need a number '7' or '4' bolt and what the correct plating should be...... :D
