Many thanks to Ted for the assistance with getting my bike on the road for the meet. Had many problems, and with trying to rush made it worse. :x
Good luck to Simon in his new role in 2010.
Many thanks to Ed for his commitment over the years.

Can only echo previous sentiments......
Ed was (and is) excellent rep for the Z1 community, and good luck to Simon in his new role.
Nice to see everyone, and special mention to Ted1R, who must take the award today for longest distance travelled.
Cheers Kevin

Thank you all for such great support, Ed is a tough act to follow.

Thank you to John for proposing me and the assembled group for accepting me taking the post.

This year's turn outs have been great even on a rainy changeable day in late October. It seems that the more people turn up, then more want to!!

Ed remains the Midlands Rep to the end of 2009, I will take up the Mantle in 2010.

I will then be a point of contact for members and also will try to help with tech. queries, though the forum seems the best source of info, it sometimes helps to have someone at the end of a phone or in the garage.

Suggestions for runs are gratefully received, I also like the idea of two monthly meetings during the summer. I was also pondering whether to move to a different Sunday, the last Sunday of the month clashes with many family days and bank holidays.

As for getting a Z1R, been there already, the next project will (might) be a Z1/CSR 1000 hybrid...... when I find some time

I plan to be at the Griffin for the November meeting. hopefully on my Z1 and hope to you all there.

See you all soon

Simon

Great first meet for me in October. Plenty of advice on getting my bike running. I had planned to turn up for the November meet on a Z1 rather than a Thunderace this time (sorry!) but work commitments will mean I’m in India at the weekend and all of the following week.
Probably have food poisoning for the next two weeks after that if last time is anything to go by too!

See you all in the new year.
