How can i tell the difference between kz 1000 mk2 head and a z1000 a1 a2 head. I know the cam covers are different, are the valves bigger in the mk 2 head, also what sort of performance you would gain by fitting a mk2 head to a z1000 a1 if any. Ive look at a z1000 head that is fitted to a bike i have and compared to what i believe to be a mk 2 head but they look the same to me i brought this a long time ago and the person i brought it of said it was from a mk2 but iam not sure

just measured the valves, and looked on z1 enteprises mk2 z1000 z900 all the valves are the same size 30mm and 36mm so no diffrence between z1000 z900, just had a close look at the head that i beileve to be mk 2 head is a smooth finnish inside the head where the cams are located and looking at z1000 head of z1r that i have, there is ridge lines where the cam are located so the one with the smooth finnish is off a mk 2 is this correct thanks paul
