oil in alternator
Took of alternator cover and it was full of oil. Should this be like this.
Steve, if it's a Z1 series Z900 up to ? (sorry! don't know what bike you have or where to find out).
Anyway, they normally run in oil this lubricates the starter clutch and the associated gearing mechanism. It nearly all, drains back into the sump when engine isn't running.
