Carb Set Up for Piston Rebore

#1 PostAuthor: IrishKev » Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:07 pm

Hi All
Hopefully somebody can help me with this question.
I have had to rebore my cylinder block of my A4. It was already using the first oversize piston and I have had to go up to 1015cc. Do I need to make any changes or adjustments to my A4 26mm carbs. I don't know but if someone who has done this before could drop me a line. I am hoping that I don't have to go to a set of 28mm carbs.

Thanks

Standard UK jetting on :-
Z900A4 / Z1000 A1
Pilot jet:- 17.5 / 17.5
Main jet:- 115 / 107.5
Needle jet:- 0-6 / 0-6
Jet needle:- 5DL3 / 5CN08

I wouldn't change anything to begin with they'll be fine, probably better. I'd give it a bit of a run and then check how it's running and possibly adjust the mixture as you would anyway.
