Z1B Piston Rings

#1 PostAuthor: ROZZER » Tue Feb 27, 2007 10:06 pm

Got +0.5 mm pistons in my Z1B, these are made by a company called ART, found them on internet but don't do pistons/rings for Z1B now.
Question is will genuine Kawasaki +0.5mm rings fit the ART pistons?
Physically the pistons look identical to OEM. :?:

I have seen many ART pistons in Z series, as a matter of fact, I think they are the main supplier of pistons for Kawasaki. So if the rings fit in the piston groove, they will be OK!

There is another question, that is; will 0.5mm rings be OK for a standard (but worn bore)? I say yes! As long as the gap is adjusted.
Don't no about 1.0mm rings in the same situation.
