Hi Matey, it's got to be a no go on straightening them,

Just bought a set from Z1 enterprises, with postage about £100.00 per four valves

depending on which valve it is,i know that the toyota landcruiser 4.2 deisel engine, has the same size valves in them, all that is needed is them to be shortened.at about £8 each.could be a good saving.

i went to an engineering company for some head work, and they had a cd,that cross referenced valves, and found that the valves from a deisel toyota land cruiser was the same size in width and size, the stem was longer, but he said you can cut them down and regrind the collet holders.

I bought a full set of patern ones from ZedPower for ~ £150, had to grind the valve stems down 0.020" as a little long but otherwise OK.
