Thanks guys, for your positive comments on me MOT. Tax disc arrived this week, so it was out for the first blast in anger this afternoon

Well I say a 'blast in anger' but more of 'shake down' really. I returned home after approx 1/2 a mile as I'd cut off the cable tie that was holding the clutch cable away from the zorst header whilst experimenting with me oil cooler. I do plan to order the proper clip, but have fitted another cable tie for now so I could carry on. I did about 25 miles altogether, which were most enjoyable. I would have done more, but this was a 'shake down' not a joy ride
First problem I have is the speedo has gotta be miles out, as I am running a 17" front wheel. I plan to get one of the cheap pushbike jobs, or 'borrow' the wife to be's Tom Tom to work out the 'variation' the hopefully get Mr Big Fluff to make me some nice new clock faces that will read the correct speed.
Second problem is the bike seems to be 'undergeared' ie reving it's nuts of, without going very fast. I am running a 15 tooth front sprocket & a 38 tooth rear. I cannot go any smaller on the rear, as the chain will cut through the swinging arm

I have checked Debben's website & see they do a 17 & 18 tooth front sprocket. I will speak to them next week & see what they suggest. But I would be interested to know what gearing anybody else is running with 17" wheels.
Third problem, bike seems to get a bit 'wooly' or 'choked' when sat in traffic. I have 17.5 pilots, K&N's 1105cc Pilot screws were out 1 1/4 turns. I have wound them out to 1 3/4 turns now & will see what happens on the next run.
Fourth problem is a persistent oil leak from the sump. It comes from the part that is closest the the big 'O' ring. I have tried all sorts to date & was wondering if the 'O' ring was the wrong thickness & it's that that is stopping the sump sealing properly, or the sump has been skimmed. Any one else had this problem?
