been busy working on the bike this last week, got it running today :)
Its been off the road since October 2012,total strip for cosmetics, the top end was stripped, the barrels had a lot of fin damage so I obtained another set, sweated the liners out and swapped them over, had the top of the block skimmed as a couple of liners were very slightly proud.I also repaired a damaged fin on the head and replaced the valve stem seals. The bores were in spec and compression ok,the ring end gaps also ok so motor rebuilt with original rings.
The loom has been cleaned and retaped.
Loads of other things have been sorted as well along the way that would take to long to list, here's some pics.
Still plenty to do,need to decide if I am going to use original footpegs, the raask ones I had fitted prior to the strip or to make up some mounting plates for a more modern set of rearsets I obtained last year.
The body work is still to be sorted and I would like to get the pipe ceramic coated, I also have a stage 3 dynojet kit to fit.
Will post up again once some more notable progress is made.

I reckon its to stop water draining from the highly polished tank and soaking into the foam, I had some stainless covers for my Z650C3.

Weaver....i noticed you have an ABBA stand and have the correct fixings....did you buy the fixings from ABBA or did you make your own? I need some for my A2 and it would be nice to know if i can purchase or have to make them.

The engine paint is Simoniz tough black as recommended on here, the paint work will be meanest green, nothing to far from original
