Had a job cancel today so it gave me a chance to get out in the garden in the day light and get some work done .........

First up i had a quick look at the wheel aligment with my rather crude poles  dont look to sad and i had it pretty much there within 1mm-2mm

( Pics are SH1TE but you get my gist )

Then i thought what the hell, Lets get her running finished off the basic electrics ( just lights, Bandit ignition and clocks left ) Pulled the plugs * SPARKING *
So with that i filled the carbs with petrol and gave it a few turns nearly gave up, But she went vrmmmmmmm pop pop vrmmmmm .
A little rough but she runs carbs well need a basic set up
Looks a little lean to me ????

Also going to not use the standard foot plates and use these bad boys

Guys just so i dont flood up the bike help section

im running 36mm mikuni flatslide's with a gpz1100 engine and bitza of an exhaust

Just because it was a bit of a mare to start and was reluctant to rev up if you bliped the throttle and was poping and coughing about and didnt really want to idle but it was fireing on all 4 pots .. But it hadent run for nearly a year !

Now bearing in mind ive never checked these carbs or there settings

What would be a good sort of setup to start with on the carbs ie ......

main jets
slow running jets
mixture screw setting
and needle position

Many thanks guys :)

Also had a look at the rearsets only problem is the rear brake master cyclinder is going to be laying right under my side panel ???
I got the bottom hole lined up with original mount and drilled the other hole straight through the original foot rest hanger ( AS A TEMP FIX)

Good stuff Lee.

Looking at that rear master cylinder mount, it probably won't be in the right position/angle once the brake pedal is in the right place.
Shouldn't be too hard to make another mount from some ally bar/plate (5mm?) that will mount the rear master in a more upright position, using the original rearset mounts.

looks like the Harris has a street baffle in it - probable won't help the carbs.

GB I was thinking about using some 10mm alloy and standing the mastercyclinde upright and bringing the pegs futher forward , to bring my knee's up and feet forward !
And im going to have the street baffle out well spotted rich ! Cut the baffle out and replace with some perferated tube and of course exhaust wadding !

Not been up to much been busy working at my new job.
But did find out the land lord is a bit handy with a milling machine and he kindly jazzed up my old foot rest plates .
They are pretty raw at the moment having been shot blasted
