Z/GPZ drag bike rebuild

#1 PostAuthor: fuknuckle » Sat Oct 06, 2012 11:34 pm

Hello, its been a while since I was on here, Im finally getting round to re-building my bike. its going to be a pretty trick road legal drag bike type thing, big bore motor, MSD ignition, air shifter, nitrous, JMC stretched arm, R1 front end, carbon Dymags, all the goodies.
I got the motor back in the frame and a few of the bits put on today, hopefully have it back on its wheels in a few days.
I will no doubt have loads of questions about bits and bobs along the way. Be warned :D

Looking good, but you made a terrible mistake.
What you mean, you can't see it ?
Really not ?
Look again ?

Ah, it's dawning on you ?
Hmm... Now I think you've got it ?

TEASING WITH JUST ONE PIC ?

Cheers,
Greg

There will be lots more pics over the next week, didnt put many up to start as its only an engine in a frame with a few other bits bolted on.
Bike has been drag raced in the past, got stripped for a refresh and rebuild years ago, was mostly there but then tho bloke who had it before moved to Scotland and lost his garage so I bought it as was and left it until I stripped it down to start again recently. i still need some carbs for it and to sort out an oil cooler, and a wiring loom, the rest I have pretty much got.

Few pics of the race bike as requested.
130bhp oil cooled motor, Spondon frame, Ohlins R+T forks, PFM discs, PVM radial Monoblock calipers, radial master cylinder, Ohlins shock, Hindle system, loads of trick bits, propper bit of kit it is, came 3rd in my championship this year, would of won if I didnt have bad luck

What a handsome beast (not trying to hi-jack your thread), but please feel free to let us know where & when you're racing next year.
