1979 Z1 classic bosch fuel injection

#1 PostAuthor: actionman » Fri Jun 06, 2008 4:08 pm

hi,could anybody shine a little light on a problem my mate has.His classic is a bit of a bugger on start-up,coughs n splutters until warm....ive had it suggested to me that the heat sensor is at fault, not telling the engine its warm enough? This sounds about right as when its heated-up it runs fine.
I havnt had a good look at the bike,so am asking where the heat sensor is located...and are these still avilable...if so where? Thanks for your help. :)

If its anything like the other fuel injected kwaks the engine temp sensor will be tapped into the cylinder head between 1 and 4 inlet ports. These can suffer from corrosion on the connector and also on the threads of the temp sensor so clean it up and refit.
