Z1B starter motor

#1 PostAuthor: SVENLEATHER » Mon Feb 06, 2017 11:59 am

Guys,

Went to go out on the Z1B on Saturday and when pushed the starter motor it seem to spin but did not turn the engine. Even in gear did not turn the engine over. Reverted to the trusty kick start.

Before I remove the tanks, carbs and the starter motor and side casing any experinace what the issue could be.

That's cos you fitted all that fancy heavy new paintwork. You should sell that to me and put the original stuff back on :D

Seriously, if you need a hand with anything, give me a shout.
(I've got some proper size hammers in the garage)

Think I've got an unused starter clutch repair kit. Message me if that's the fault

Guys
Keith looks like you were right rotor spinning on crank. Now the question is how to fix it. The bolt holding it on was loose so after 10 years I guess it's started to slip.

Any ideas?
