frame and caliper paint

Good afternoon,

any recommendations for frame and various bracket paint on a z1000a1?

I want to replicate the slightly off gloss black (not satin) finish used on these bikes, as full gloss don't look right, which is probably why kawa didn't use it.

I'm a bit sniffy about powder coating because I don't know if the proper off-gloss finish will be available, and I've seen several instances where water has got into a chip in the finish and rust has propagated under the coating in a big patch. That said, it seems to be the solution with the least effort on my part.

I recently saw a Norton frame in a mates bike shop with a finish that was a dead ringer for a factory finish, that was apparently black smoothrite. I expect its a pain to do though.

The same goes for the black brake calipers - what's best? I'll almost certainly paint these at home though.

Had my fame and brackets powdercoated in 'matt plus 25% gloss' if that helps

Is this stuff resistant to brake fluid when baked on ?

I used PJ1 paint on my master cylinder/calipers and it seems very resistant to brake fluid.
