Spacers

#1 PostAuthor: Dodgy Z1B » Tue Sep 29, 2015 6:03 am

Will be fitting standard swinging arm soon but was wanting to check the correct set up for the front sprocket and wheel spacers. At the moment I have no spacer fitted to the inside of front sprocket is this correct for z1b and what would be the standard size for the rear wheel spacers ?

What are you looking for - length of spacers x external diameter.

Standard swing arm just has dust covers / caps to each end.

If you go to the downloads page on the link, there is a downloads page which has Z1B parts list, which will give you part numbers for rear wheel spacers - http://classickawasaki.se/

Brake side spacer / collar - Kawasaki part no 42032-037.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-77-kawasak ... 95&vxp=mtr

Sprocket side spacer / collar - Kawasaki part no 42037-023

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/75-Kawasaki-Z ... 4ad11bf30f

I can measure a rear brake spacer if you wish, I may have a spare ?
Not sure if I can measure the sprocket as the spacer sits partially within oil seal.

I've got completely standard Z1b's and the drive sprocket is fitted without a spacer but one side has a raised boss which goes on the transmission side, thus spacing it out slightly.

The rear sprocket has a spacer behind it, approx 1.5mm thick.
This is using standard 630 o ring chains.

This shows the side to fit to the gearbox]

This is the spacer behind the rear sprocket

Hope this helps, Steve

Thanks my front sprocket doesn't have a raised boss the chain just misses the casing I'm using a 630 chain does I have seen 1.5mm spacers on z1 enterprises site my rear sprocket has the spacer as described once I have removed the swinging arm and fitted original item I think I might just need to sort front sprocket out thanks for replies.
