Z1R-1 Header/Colector

#1 PostAuthor: ZedHead » Wed Oct 22, 2014 3:18 pm

Does anyone know anyone that makes/supplies original style 4 into 1 header/collector for Z1R-1? I can get the silencer from PMC but they do not appear to do the rest.

Ted/Keith?

I don't know of anybody either unfortunately - I'm looking at getting my originals chromed. At the moment, i can get the middle downpipes done with no problem but can't find anyone to do the two outside and collector (they won't fit into the tank)? Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome!
Failing that, I'm back to polishing....................... :)

I have spent many a fruitless hour searching for this unicorn, to no avail.

I ended up getting bespoke Stainless replicas made for the D1 and D2 I have at no mean cost only for a flurry of decent sets to come up on Ebay shortly after :wall...... I did consider cutting the outer pipes free from the collector to have them chromed and having a sleeve arrangement like the two inner pipes to get around that issue however it never transpired. With a lot of patience you can pick up reasonable systems on ebay from time to time but they seem to command big bucks for obvious reasons. I have a 4 into 1 in the loft that is pretty much near as dammit except the collector box I can post pictures it could even be used as a pattern if necessary

I remember a couple of years ago (pi**ed) on a sat night thinking I was buying a Z1000A1 system from Germany and when it turned up it was Z1R

I can't remember what I did with it or where I put it, I will have a look
