Hi guys, my z1 has a sticking clutch.
When I try to put it into 1st, it's like I haven't pulled the clutch in - it just stalls.
I know the trick of freeing it off with the kick start before starting the engine but even with the clutch pulled in, the engine turns over when I kick it over.
Any tips as to what the problem may be?
It hasn't been used for about 6 weeks and obviously not much over winter. Last time I used it, it was same but after a couple of goes it freed itself and all seemed ok.
Any tips gratefully appreciated.

I put mine on the center stand and with it running in gear hold the clutch lever in and stand on the back brake. It takes a few goes and it doesnt put to much force on the gears, and like steve says the elastic band trick works.
