1170 on J head, GPz Barrells

I seem to remember being told that if you fit a 1170 kit to a J series engine the pistons can hit the valves. Does anyone know about this or can I continue on fitting the J head to a GPz 1100 b1 including cams (b1)

Only a problem if you fit oversize valves. As I found out :oops:

I think the UniTrak head had different valve angles, so need's different Wiseco's.
Maybe that's what was in the 'back of your mind'?

Hi Steve,yes you're right!It was Al who explained it to me and has explained it again tonight :roll:

At least I remembered there may be a problem and I didn't barrel along as I usually do
