how do you get the 2 centre spark plugs out of a ZRX, the frame and wiring are in the way , and the plug cap is too long to remove, any tips before i remove the wiring.

I think you have to remove the coils... M6 nuts that's all, I think.
Has been a while since I changed mine but it ain't no big deal if I remember correctly.

paul,

do you have the plug spanner from the original toolkit

will -failing that can you post a picture of what you use and i'll see if i have something similar

i don't remember having a problem when i changed the plugs on mine but that was about 5 years ago.

no 2+ 3 can be a little difficult to get out just spray some wd40 around the caps + they will come out easily. no need to remove the coils if you have a decent set of tools just a 3/8 long extension + knuckle joint make sure the caps are pushed right down when re assembling they have a tendency to collect water + the water boils like a kettle + blows the plug cap of the spark plug + you end up with a misfire or only running on three cylinders. look into the core of the cap to make sure it has no corrosion

I've found the spark plug socket in the original toolkit will get 2 & 3 out although a bit fiddly.
