Now can't get a spark even with +ve of battery wired on to coils ????

Its important not to have the power supply feeding the coils constantly..... as in leaving ignition on for a long time, coz this can overheat coils & burn them out.
Not that I think this has happened, just a point to note
If you wire direct power to the coils, they wont spark
You need to supply a switched power.... as in a quick on/off to get they to spark. A constant supply won't work. But like the points open/closing to get a sudden belt

And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
Bike cut out a couple of times, seemed like fuel starvation but couldn't get a spark. Thought maybe points or condenser so replaced with Dyna (same coils), still no spark. As quick test, connected +ve battery direct to each coil, got spark on one but not the other, then nothing. Not sure how to check for voltage drop across sytem or check kill switch ??
