z900 clutch/gearbox problem?
was out last night in the garage,started the z,went to drive it,into 1st,no clutch.bikes not ran for 4 months.adjusted clutch from side casing,drove away in 1st no probs,went to shift up,wont go into anything apart from 1st or neutral,last time i drove it,gear changin was fine
help!!!!!!!!!!!!

The spring that connects the gear selector to the drum may have come detached. You'll need to remove the clutch Outer & Inner cover to get to this alongwith the front sprocket. From memory if the drum selector pin isn't picked up by the fingers on the end of the gearchange lever you can't get 2nd etc.
Curious it connect from 1st back to neutral though.

once i get the bolts ordered for the brake side rearset i'll give it a blast,had it up on the paddock stand about 4 month ago,rear wheel of the ground,running,shifted no probs.suppose that'd explain the bike being in motion thing!anyway,i'm away to stormin the castle for a break from the garage,get the beers in! 

had it up and down the street yesterday,shiftin fine
but was shittin meself!no t+t,still on a isle of man logbook but after stormin the castle wasnt giving a shit!ye rich,that river was runnin through my tent on saturday morning,put on my soaked leathers,left all my camping stuff there and headed back to an unusually sunny scotland!!
