Brain teaser (sparx)

#1 PostAuthor: Ed Z1-R » Thu May 15, 2008 11:35 pm

ok, rewiring a Z650 C2.
All going hunky dory until i hit the regulator rectifier.
Now i dont know if the RR is o.e.(some ive seen are 2 phase and some 3 phase) but heres the dilema.
Most 650 are 3 phase but this is 2 phase(ie 2 yellow wires not 3)
Nearly all RR have the yellows and wires for:- Earth(black/yellow), main feed off battery(white/red) and one for regulated feed.(brown).
there are only 2 yellow wires ,BUT NO BROWN WIRE.
So how does this work
As in there is no regulated feed, where does the regulated volatage for the brown wire takes its juice from???????????
Is it from internal connections in the ignition switch?
So i is stumped on this, any help appreciated (no i dont have wiring diagram just working from a Z1-R as most K are wired the same)
THANX.
