Clutch and throttle cable lengths z1000
I'm going to do away with the high bars on the Ltd so will need shorter clutch and throttle cables. I have some Superbike bars to use, which are somewhere between drag bars and standard J type bars in height and slightly wider tan both. If I can use standard length cables off another zed that would be easier. Could someone confirm the lengths for me please? I just need the clutch and throttle 'pull' cables. Thanks.
Standard J clutch cable outer length is 47 inches.
Standard J throttle cable outer length is 36 inches.
Clutch cable measured from ferrule to ferrule ring (lower end).
Throttle cable measured from ferrule at the carbs to the; knurled 'sleeve adjuster locking nut' that butts to the outside of the RHS switchgear. It does not include the curved plastic part which sits inside the switchgear plastic housing.

Thanks gents, Al great info as always. I put the bars on this afternoon, I'm not sure the throttle assembly is standard, but I've nowt to compare it to. It's just a pull cable assembly. Due to the width of the bars, the existing cables aren't excessively long but I will replace them anyway as a precaution. I will put some pics up.
