Wanted Urgent Z1000H exhaust valve or APE Manley one 31mm

#1 PostAuthor: Padders » Sun Mar 30, 2014 6:38 pm

Hi I have a bent exhaust valve on my Z1 head that needs replacing but the valves are oversize 31mm. Martin has been checking and H exhaust valves are 31mm if anyone has a decent one for sale. Also APE and Manley do 31mm ones if any one has one for sale. This is the largest you can go on the standard seats and the bike is VOR until I can source one.

Cheers

Are they the same as the Z1000J valves?

Some say 31mm such as Z Powers site and others say its 32mm just trying to find out before splashing out on a stainless APE one or Manley.

Cheers for looking

in your previous post you have stated that the j model has 32mm valve & in this listing from z power they state the z1000h uses the same valve & list the same part no. so have z power made a mistake in saying the z1000h valve is 1mm bigger & is 31mm & should be 32mm

Beware ! J valves are also SHORTER so make sure you get the right one.
When fitting o's valves, the larger heads need sinking in the seats to retain valve to valve clearance.
It is common practice to use the shorter J valves to retain correct valve stem height.

I may have a 31mm exhaust valve... I got quite a lot of spares from S+S Performance with the purchase of the Saxon many years back.
The exhaust valves are all oversize on the turbo heads and I'm sure I may have some spare valves.

Will take a look this eveing.
