z1a / z900A4 head differences

#1 PostAuthor: lta01 » Tue Apr 07, 2009 11:58 am

I know that the A4 uses different ( smaller but better ) carbs, wondering if it also has either differnet cams or different porting in the heads, or even valves ?

Thanks in advance for the help

Ita01, the heads of the Z1A and the Z900-a4 may be interchanged. There are insignificant changes, mostly to do with the exterior casting. Both use the same head gaskets and other ancillary items. Even the rubber manifolds are the same, albeit, they use different carbs (26 vis-a-vis 28mm). It would take an expert to pick the difference!
