The right black for alloy wheels

#1 PostAuthor: LTD Project » Mon Nov 10, 2008 8:32 pm

Can someone let me know what the right black is for the alloy wheels on my Z1000. I know know it is black but is it gloss, semi-gloss, satin, matt......

Any one got any good products to recommend for this re-paint.....

I can't be the first person to be tarting up me alloys.....

What products have people used, any good / long lasting results, any poor products,

Paint brush, spray can, stove enamel?

Trying to avoid re-inventing the painting of the wheel.....

Powder coating would be much more durable.
I've used plasti-kote paint with good results

Thanks for all your responses, I think I might take a punt with the Plastikote....

Does it clean easy? Esp. on the rear wheel.

Thanks again all

I used Hammerite satin aerosol with good effect. Masking up took hours :(

Check out Wilko's for good prices on plasti-kote.
They also have their own brand paint at an even lower price.
