RESTORING ORIGINAL Z1 REAR SHOCKS
DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF A FIRM OFFERING A RESTORATION SERVICE FOR ORIGINAL Z1 REAR SHOCKS,DON'T FANCY FITTING PATTERN PARTS THAT ARE AVAILABLE
Hiya and sorry for not seeing this sooner - much!!
I've just done my Z1A shocks. So long as they not leaking it can be done. They can't be recharged so are bin fodder however....
Punch the rollpin out of the top mount, compress spring and undo to mount - everything else just slodes off. I've had mine rechromed, springs actual unit and ancilliarys. The chromer manager to do the body without damaging the rubber insert at the top so I'm well pleased. They look brilliant - just gotta get them back together - they came apart so must be possible
Good luck
Dave
