I need to get a pair of Helmet holder brackets re-finished,(Z1A) were they originaly finished in Gloss or Satin Black Anyone Please.

SteveS, these helmet hooks were black and were the same finish as the headlight shell and under-seat paint, which was satin black.
I can't think of any part on the Z1 series that is gloss black. Having said that and not being a real purist, I usually have everything that is black done in gloss black, except for the brake calipers and the handle-bar controls. I always think gloss black looks like satin black that has been polished!
