Interchangeability of tanks and panels.

#1 PostAuthor: Big John » Thu May 29, 2008 4:23 pm

It turns out that the last Zed I purchased was a B3 and not a B2. As it is fitted with a MK2 engine I was wondering wether the MK2 tank, sidepanels and tailpiece are interchangeable. I'm sure I read somewhere that the Z900 through to J series body work was interchangeable. Can anyone advise as I thought it might look good with MK2 bodywork?

John sounds like an B3 you've got as it had a MK2 type engine, as did the B4.The Mk2 tank should fit ok,you would need the mounting plate off a Mk2 frame for the tail(or make your own)the side panels fitt but cant remember if i had to mod the lower mounts.
Got the Rex, just the Kat to get now...
