Hi, just got a longer input shaft for my Z1000j, so that I can fit a later clutch. The fixed gear on the shaft has 13 teeth not 14. Anyone know if this is a zx 1100a shaft? I am hopefully getting the matching 1st gear on the output shaft. If not I will be after a later gearbox for it.
Cheers Rob

The zx1100A (unitrak / 1100R) gearbox has 14 teeth to the fixed gear.
Someone recently said that they had the late type clutch (six spring type) and i think it was an ST / MKII.
Dont know anything about the ST but perhaps that is why you didnt get an output shaft with it???????
Earlier engines do have a different set of ratio's to the J motor succession which might explain it.
P.S. thanks for the template.
