Would you expect a newly rebored engine to smoke for a while my worry is its a shite rebore job not on my z on an other unmentionable 550 four stroke bike :D the oil scraper rings were a one piece item looked dodgy.

Are you sure it's the rebore & not the valve oil seals ?

Run it in with cheap mineral oil - after a couple hundred miles swap for decent mineral or semi & see how it is.

Don't run it in too conservatively - the bores may glaze over :!:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Thanks valve seals done at same time cheap oil it is wouldn't waste good stuff on it to be honest as it's not a z :D

can take a while to bed in - if you've done over 100 miles and its still smoking i'd then be concerned.
