Guyz just stripped out the bottoms of a set Mikuni carbs ,Bike was getting slow to chime in on a couple of pots,apart from the usual brown crap in all the bowls was, was seemed to be broken down black rubber bits i am guessing this is Ethanol breaking down the fuel lines,can anyone concur?

The seals in the fuel tap have become hardened / cracked tiny bits filtered through?

(apparently the ethanol debate from this websites view http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/ne ... e_Remedies - see 2., is more exaggerated than
experience)

Done a bit more research on this, and apparently SAE 30R9 Grade fuel hose is the best for ethanol resistance...

Hiya, I had to scrap ALL my fuel hose bits I had bought for various toys over the years (confirmed this with chaps who sold me it at Rufforth Autojumble) it will de-stabilise the fuel lines my H**** 4 stroke strimmer confirmed this when I saw the fuel line which had been immersed in the petrol over the winter when thrown at glass stick!!!!

Changed fuel hose now to Ethanol proof see how she goes!!!

IM GOING TO BUY A COUPLE OF GALLONS OF ASPEN FUEL AT THE WEEKEND AND RUN IT THROUGH BIKES AT END OF SUMMER THEN USE IT AS STORAGE FUEL
