Z1000A2 & MK2

#1 PostAuthor: mikey » Sat Oct 13, 2007 3:11 pm

Hi guys
Done about 200 miles on my A2 since geting it back on
the road and the rotor bolt on the end of the crankshaft
keeps coming undone just retightend it for the 3rd time
tried locktite and a spring washer to no avail any ideas.

Also just got a MK2 Z1000 had its fair share of bodgers working
on it over the years ive stripped it to the bare frame, this might
sound a silly question but i aint got a manual for it at the mo but in the
head stock it had ball bearings in the top race and taper roller bearings
in the bottom race surely that cant be right.
Also the mag wheels are made of steel can any one shed any light
on these wheels never seen any like it before thanks for any help
may be a while before i can read any replies not got a pc using me mates
when i can.

Mikey the headraces should be same, top & bottom.
I did my rotor 18 months ago, just did it up real tight with some locktite & its been fine for +1000 miles :?: Just make sure the mating (snigger) surfaces are nice & clean & smooth.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
