Shell V-Power/other advanced octane boost petrols

Hi, Been using Shell's V-Power for the past 3 tank fulls,
enjoying the noticeable increase in acceleration and a
bit more mileage from a tankful to boot, when keeping
to same as before steady m.p.h., but noticed when I went
to top up the other day, the lip around the edge of the filling
hole has discoloured to a kind of dark lead colour!! Is that
normal? / owt to worry about?

Cant say I have noticed anything on my bikes, but have been using v power and putolene fuel stabilser for about 18 months and had no problems at all, even after winter storage, but
your right, you do notice better hot starting and smoother running.
